When I first was interested in getting into the mobile photo booth rental dentistry I thought I had a very unique idea and very unique software. my product was 100 percent my own idea made in a vacuum in a small town in north central Ohio. My wife and I drew inspiration from an old dip and dunk photo booth we got in while visiting Las Vegas. Why would anyone else do the same? Right?
As I began to market my newly found it business I found many competitors within my state. As the years have gone by these numbers have quadrupled and are showing no signs of slowing down. This is important as I think many new photo booth owners believe the same thing, they have a unique products no one else does. The reality is that they do not.
We are part of a fraternity consisting of thousands of mobile photo booth operators worldwide. Each of us have unique ideas and have unique business practices. But at the end of the day we have a product, a photo booth that is simply a time sequence of photos taken and uniquely printed on a photo strip.
So what makes this industry great?
It is the unique experience that we give each and every one of our clients. It is important not to run your business like a factory stamping event after event with no personality. As the market continues to fill up it will become ever important to differentiate ourselves and provide excellent customer service. This will dictate the winners and losers. These will be the photo booth owners who can demand a premium price for a premium service.
